Whispering Pines - Jeremy's Apt(#2598RAJLh)

This apartment gives a look of high expense, not in the building itself,
but it's contents. The walls and ceiling are painted pure black, and the
carpet matches the darkness, save for some off color fuzz, being that it's
a pretty new carpet. Across from the door in the living area is a large
black entertainment center consisting of a not suprisingly black 42" TV, a
large fully digital stereo system with CD and tape players, AM/FM stereo,
a setting for the TV, and a useless setting called 'phono'. There are
various gaming systems tucked into the entertainment center as well,
baring names like Dreamcast, Playstation and Playstation 2, various
systems with the word 'Nintendo' upon them... 3D0, NeoGeo, and finally
something called a 'colecovision'. This system is complemented nicely by a
high quality Bose surround sound speaker system. Two black leather couches
are on the left and right of the living area, angled at the entertainment
center. A large chest rests on the ground between the couches and the
entertainment center, working as a foot rest. The only sources of light
are the LEDs on the stereo, the TV, and a small blacklight bulb in the fan
in the center of the apartment. A door to the right of the apartment leads
to Roger's bedroom(+view) and the small kitchen is visable on the right
side of the apartment, almost a part of the living room. The kitchen is
lit up by a hallogen lamp, resting next to the front door, pointed towards
it.

Salem pauses outside Jeremy's door, then knocks on it.

After a few minutes, and three bolts being unlocked, the door opens up,
revealing Jer' in a pair of basketball shorts, a towel about his
shoulders, hair wet.

Salem's eyebrows rise above his sunglasses. "Afternoon, Jeremy. Is this a
bad time for you?" His tone's utterly polite.

Jeremy shakes his head. "Nuh uh. I just got outta the shower." He says,
stepping back.

Jeremy pages: You notice a good deal of scars upon his back and chest,
some look like they've been there for years.
Jeremy pages: His right shoulder is still bandaged up from the stabbing

Salem removes his sunglasses as he steps inside. His gaze lingers briefly
on the kinfolk's scars as well as on the bandaged wound and then moves to
his face. "I came by to see how you were doing," the Garou says simply.

Rubbing the back of his neck, the kinfolk shrugs his shoulders a bit
slightly. "I'm alright. Just relaxing on my day off, trying to clean the
house up. I guess Quentin is out doing chores or something, so, I'm
killing time until he comes back." He shifts the weight from hip to hip,
then motions slightly. "Want something to drink?"

Salem shakes his head. "No, thank you." He hesitates a moment, as if
pondering the best way to phrase what he's planning to say next. "But
speaking of Quentin... are you certain that his presence here isn't an
inconvenience? His stay here has, of course, attracted a good deal of, ah,
company here, and I've noticed that you've seemed... uncomfortable."

Jeremy lets out a breath. "Just the curse, thats all. I can take a great
deal of your ragey'ness, being around all of ya'll for thirteen years, but
once ya start packing about six or seven at a time... It gets to me." He
murmurs. "I like having Quentin around. He's easier to deal with then
Dizzy and Jacob combined, and he likes computers and stuff.. we have a lot
in common."

Salem glances around at the collection of tech and 'toys' then makes a
noise of acknowledgement. "He certainly has been giving your video game
collection a workout." His eye goes back to the kin. "He was quite
concerned about you the other night."

Jeremy rubs his neck. "Oh? We.. kinda talked 'bout it. I suppose I'm just
not dealing with Roger's death all that well. And I haven't talked about
it either. I kinda just bit my lip and ignored it."

Salem folds his arms across his chest. "Mnh. Yes, Roger." He purses his
lips. "Next time, talk to us," he says, the poster child for stocism and
bottled-up emotion. And though he probably didn't mean that to come out as
a command, it unfortunately has the sound of one, at least partially.
"We're not going to bite you."

Sighing, Jeremy nods his head. "Well.. I couldn't talk to you about it.
You guys were trying to get the Caern back, and everyone was stressed out
and mad and upset and I didn't want to open up my mouth with... stupid
problems.."

Salem's jaw clenches. "Your problems are our problems, Jeremy. Whether you
can shapeshift or not, you're a Glass Walker, and family."

Jeremy lets out a breath and stubs his foot into the carpet. "This Sept is
different then the one down near Portland." He says quietly.

"This Sept is different than a lot of places," Salem says. "Thankfully."

Jeremy nods his head and glances about idly at the room that was once
wasn't his. "Yah.. I hear ya." He pauses, then says. "So.. I suppose I'm
Ok.. I talked with Rhiannon and got most of it out. So I feel better."

Salem nods. "Rhiannon mentioned that you'd talked to her. Good." He
removes the sunglasses from inside his coat. "I'll let you get back to
your day off, then."

Jeremy blinks his eyes once. "Oh. Alright... Well.. thanks for stopping
by.."

Salem stops in the act of turning for the door. He hesitates a moment,
then shakes his head minutely and slips the dark glasses back onto his
face. "Be seeing you," says the Philodox, and then he exits the apartment.
