[Big Red Barn]
Christian sighs, as he begins to practice his Martial Arts forms, first in
Homid. As the pace picks up, he shifts in a fluid motion, to Glabro.
Christian contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Christian shifts into Glabro form.
Kasie is crouched against the wall, near the door. Her pack is next to her and
she's watching Christian. As the door opens again and looks over and smiles!
Erik slips into the barn, pausing in the doorway. Upon spotting Kasie, he
enters more fully, tilting his head toward the Fang as he walks toward the
Fianna cub.
Kasie waves Erik over, then looks back to Christian.
Kasie leans forward, watching with interest as he moves, then shifts.
Erik turns his masked face toward Christian again, then looks back at Kasie.
"Are you doing okay?"
Derrick enters the ground level of the barn through one of the doors.
Derrick has arrived.
Kasie nods and answers in a whisper, as if not to disturb Christian. "Oh, yes.
He's just practicing..." She adds hurriedly, "He said it was okay for me to
watch."
Firewalker continues his Tae Kwond Do forms, as he shifts into Crinos.
Firewalker contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Firewalker shifts into Crinos form.
Erik nods and settles down next to Kasie. "That's the Glabro form I mentioned
last night." He gestures toward Firewalker. "And that... is Crinos."
Kasie's eyes widen a little as she watches. She 'wows...' under her breath,
the sound breathy with awe.
Derrick opens and shuts the door quietly, taking a moment to let his eyes
adjust to the light.
Duane enters the ground level of the barn through one of the doors.
Duane has arrived.
Firewalker suddenly lashes out a mid-kick at empty air, then he jumps and
spins, his leg lashing out in a round kick, and as he touches the ground, he
spins again, this time his leg making a sweeping motion.
Erik leans back a bit, face turned toward the practicing Silver Fang.
Derrick moves around to the back of the barn, fading slowly into
indistinctness when he's sure Christian hasn't noticed him.
Kasie shifts her weight from her heels to her knees as she leans closer to
watch. Her eyes never leave the Fang; she either doesn't hear the door's
noise of she ignores it.
Duane shoulders in through the big doors, his basketball uncharacteristically
hooked under one arm, not thudding against the ground. He immediately pauses
to spin a curiously look around the barn's belly.
Firewalker continues his pattern, now and then adding a kick, or a clawed
slash through the air, facing different directions every few seconds as he
turns and spins.
Kasie takes the quickest glance up to Erik to see if the older Fianna is still
watching. She smiles at him before looking back to Firewalker.
Derrick watches this for a time, once or twice almost moving to tag Christian,
but then shoots a glance at Kasie and instead takes a seat, leaning against
the wall and de-Blurring.
Eamon enters the ground level of the barn through one of the doors.
Eamon has arrived.
Eamon wanders into the barn and looks around.
It's hard to tell exactly what Erik is watching, though one might easily guess
that he's still watching Firewalker. Still, his whole manner marks him as
attentive to Kasie, and when she smiles at him, he ducks his head a bit,
gloved fingers absently brushing the surface of his violin case.
Firewalker stops abruptly, and he shifts back to his birth form and stands
there, panting to regain his breath.
Kasie's eyes are bright, all signs of her former nervousness gone as she
watches the Fang work out.
Firewalker contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Firewalker shifts into Homid form.
Duane blinks a few times at the crinos-shape kickboxing in the middle of the
barn, but manages to find a seat a handful of steps to the side of the
doorway. He gives a short wave and nod to Derrick, and a little less than
that to Erik.
Derrick calls to his tribemate, "Almost tagged y'there, Christian. Gotta pay
more attention."
Kasie ooohs and sits up as he finishes. Her lips part and again she looks p to
Erik before saying to Christian, "Wow! That was so neat!"
Christian nods, and between breaths, he manages to say, "Yes, teach. But when
you're practicing the Martial Arts forms, and shifting in the process...
your mind has to stay focused on yourself."
Eamon grins as he watches Christian. "Not bad."
Derrick gets a roll out of his pocket and nods. "Just tellin', you, 's all.
It's why I didn't do it, though, y'gotta have a safe space t'practice in."
Kasie rocks back onto her heels, then starts to stand up. She stops mid-rise
as she sees that others have gathered.
Erik murmurs, "It's okay, Kasie."
Eamon wanders over towards Kasie. "Hey there. Eamon Fitzpatrick, Fianna
ragabash."
Duane keeps to himself, his knees pulled up to his chest, his ball nestled
underneath them. He pays attention to everything, but seems to let his gaze
linger longest on Kasie, as she's the only one he doesn't really know.
Clearing his throat loudly, he says over to her, "Name's Duane."
Seemingly without her knowing it, The cub shifts towards the sound of Erik's
voice as she finishes standing up. One foot shifts behind her as if about to
step back as Eamon approaches. She looks down, "Uh, hi," She says quietly.
"Kasie Brightspot, cub, Fianna, Galliard."
Erik rises as well, unfolding himself to his six and a half foot height.
"H'lo, Eamon-rhya."
Christian smiles at Eamon. "Thank you." Then he walks over to where the rest
of his clothes are, and picks them up.
Kasie's eyes dart towards Duane, then she looks at his ball before back up to
him, "Hello, Kasie--" She stops speaking suddenly and leans towards Erik to
whisper a few words.
Kasie whispers "All of it again?"
Eamon says "Christ, another cub? We're gettin' overrun.""
Eamon says "Where you from, Kasie?"
Erik shakes his head at Kasie and murmurs back.
You whisper "Not necessary. I'm sure he heard it the first time." to Kasie.
Kasie's quiet voice hardly carries to those farthest from her. "New York." She
shifts her weight from one foot to the other.
Erik seems to hover almost protectively near the cub.
Christian sighs as he looks over everyone. "I think I'd better leave. If
you'll excuse me, now?" He begins to walk towards the barn door.
Kasie nods a little to Erik's whispered answer. To Duane she finishes, "Just
Kasie.
Kasie lifts her head, following Chriatian with ehr eyes. She says "Bye," but
it might not be loud enough for him to hear.
Derrick calls, "See ya, Chris."
Eamon grins. "Oh yeah? The city, or upstate?"
Christian stops as he opens the door, then turns to regard everyone, bowing to
each, and pronouncing each name. "I'll see you all later." With that, he
exits the barn, closing the door behind him.
Christian leaves the barn through one of the doors.
Christian has left.
Kasie looks back to Eamon, "Upstate. Near Poughkeepsie." She pauses before
asking, "Are you from New York, too?"
Eamon says "Nah, I'm from Ireland. Stayed in Boston for a while, though."
Kasie ohs, then looks to him again. "Ireland? Aerin said she was from there,
too. Do you know her?"
Eamon says "I think I met 'er, yeah. So, When'd you get here, eh?"
Kasie says "Uh," She glances down, thinking. "Tonight's the third night."
Eamon grins. "Whatcha think so far?"
Kasie's smile grows stronger, "I like being a wolf! It's fun!"
Erik slips his hands into his coat pockets, silent.
Eamon chuckles. "Yeah, it is, isn't it?" He looks at Erik. "Did you find her?"
Erik shakes his head. "Aerin and Elan followed her Kinfetch to find her."
Eamon nods.
Kasie glances questioningly at Erik midway through his statement, but doesn't
say anything.
Elan enters the ground level of the barn through one of the doors.
Elan has arrived.
Elan opens the door a crack and observes, to make sure he's not interrupting
anything important.
Kasie is standing next to Erik, all three are talking.
Eamon turns and waves to Elan. "Got any questions, Kasie?"
Light-of-Belief has connected.
Erik shifts his weight from one foot to the other and looks down at Kasie. "A
Kinfetch is a special spirit that's bound to you at birth. It lets us know
when you're ready to change forms."
Kasie glances towards the door at Eamon's wave. "Elan!" She smiles to him and
lifts a hand to wave before turning back. "Uh, 'KinFetch'? I guess it has to
do with finding someone...?"
Light-of-Belief is in the corner of the barn, asleep.
Elan comes on in, and sits on a hay bale. "Hey, Eamon, hey Kasie..."
Elan waves to Derrick as well.
Kasie ohs... "How come I didn't know it was there?" She asks this as she looks
up at Erik.
Erik shrugs at Kasie. "It's a very small, weak spirit, usually."
Eamon nods. "Yeah, what he said."
Kasie ohs and nods, accepting the answer. She turns towards Elan and exclaims,
"You should have been here before! Christian was doing all this karate
stuff... and he /changed/ while he did it!"
Kasie smiles up to Erik, "Right?"
Eamon says "You can't usually see spirits. Unless you're a theurge, that is."
Erik nods to Kasie quietly.
Kasie nods to Eamon, then fingers the sleeve of her tee-shirt. "Like my
clothing, right? I hadn't known they had spirits, either."
Elan smiles and stands up, brushing off his bare chest. "LIke this?" He jumps
straight up, and wheels around, his foot lashing out in an arc to clip a bag
hangin from a nail, and drops back to his feet, again perfectly straight.
Elan grins at Kasie and sits back down, after sketching a small bow.
Erik startles a bit at Elan's sudden move, then admonishes - almost teasingly,
"Showoff."
Kasie's mouth drops open as he finishes. She nods quickly, "Yes, but he didn't
jump so high!"
Eamon chuckles as Erik speaks his thought. "What about your clothes, Kasie?"
Derrick wakes up from his short nap, and blinks vaguely.
Kasie ohs and smiles towards Erik again before answering. "Erik woke them up!
Won't get all ripped up anymore!"
Elan smiles at Erik. "Hey, good work, guy."
Light-of-Belief blinks awake and yawns, stretching. I can't get any sleep
anywhere...
Eamon says "Oh, he dedicated them. Yeah, sorta. Lots of things have spirits in
them."
Light-of-Belief pads over to Elan and lays down.
Derrick looks at his watch. "Well, damn. I'll see you people later."
Derrick leaves the barn through one of the doors.
Derrick has left.
Logan enters the ground level of the barn through one of the doors.
Logan has arrived.
Kasie looks back to Eamon, "Like wh--" She stops mid-question as the wolf pads
over. She watches him, excitement clear on her face.
Logan pushes open on of the massive doors and steps into the barn.
Elan smiles at Kasie as he goes over to the Kawasaki and makes some
sueprficial checks on it. "That's James. He's a cub in training, just like
you are."
Light-of-Belief huffs a sigh as he drops to the ground, still tired. How is
everything around here?
Kasie crouches down, still smiling brightly. She holds out a hand to him,
"Hello."
Light-of-Belief goes over and sniffles the offered hand, then yawns tiredly
and lays back down.
Kasie holds her hand still as he sniffs it, then follows him with her eyes as
he lays down. Still smiling, she stands back up.
Logan eyes the scene with interest. He raises a hand and gives a casual wave.
"Hey, people." His attention is caught by the new face in particular.
Kasie drags her eyes from the wolf to see who entered. She watches him a
moment before saying, "Hi. I'm, uh, Kasie. Kasie Brightspot, Fianna cub,
Galliard."
Logan nods his head in greeting and returns with his own introduction. "I'm
Logan Reed, Philodox cub of the Silver Fangs."
Kasie nods and lowers her eyes, looking back to Light-of-Belief.
Elan relaxes back, glad to be out of the heat. "Man, we sure have a lot of
cubs this summer." He looks to Eamon. "Do a lot usually show up, now?"
Eamon says "Uh, well, not really."
Erik murmurs, "A quirk of fate..."
Light-of-Belief has his eyes closed, half-snoozing.
Eamon says "Yeah, just coincidence."
Elan brushes his hair back out of his eyes. "Um, fate, huh? More like I think
Gaia thinks we need some new blood?"
Kasie's eyes move over the wolf, following each line and the flow of his fur.
She lets the conversation pass by her unheard.
Light-of-Belief twitches...seems to have fallen asleep, and dreaming..
Kasie touches Erik's arm lightly to get his attention as she smiles and points
to the way Light-Of-Belief is moving. She whispers very, very quietly, "My
dog used to do that!"
Erik leans down to listen and then laughs softly.
Kasie looks back to the sleeping form and starts to slip one arm out of her
backpack's strap. She then halts as she glances at Eamon and shrugs the pack
back up, cutting off her sigh almost before it starts.
Erik tilts his head. "Is something wrong?"
Kasie shakes her head no, though her expression says something else. She leans
in towards him and whispers.
Elan gets up and stretches a bit, then sits crosslegged on the floor. He claps
for Light-of-Belief to come over. He looks up at Kasie, to see what seems to
be the matter.
Kasie whispers "Was thinking about drawing him, but... (glances at Eamon)
...it wouldn't be right."
Kasie whispers "Eh, forgot Elan was here. Glances to both."
Erik bends down to listen to the whisper, then murmurs back.
You whisper "I'm sure it'll be all right. I think, knowing James, that he'll
be flattered." to Kasie.
Light-of-Belief starts awake at Elan's clapping, sitting up. He pads over to
Elan and plops down tiredly in front of him, laying his head in Elan's lap
like a pillow.
Kasie looks back in time to watch the wolf move. Her hands restlessly grip the
straps of her pack as she whispers a few more words to Erik.
Kasie whispers "You think so? Really?"
Erik nods to Kasie, encouragingly. "In fact... now that's he's, er, somewhat
awake, why don't you ask him?"
Light-of-Belief twitches an ear. You wish to ask me something?
Elan skritches Light-of-Belief lightly, between the ears, and rubs his muzzle.
"You about re--" He stops to let the young wolf answer Kasie.
Light-of-Belief enjoys the scritching greatly, and relaxes, awaiting Kasie's
question.
Kasie bites her lower lip as she looks at the pair. Her hands tighten on the
shoulder straps as she softly says, "Uh, James?" She speaks in the middle of
his question, then continues as if she didn't hear it, "I, eh, would you
mind too much if I tried drawing you? You're so beautiful and I'm sure it
won't come out well," She takes a deep breath, "But could I try?"
Light-of-Belief pats his tail on the ground in leiu of a smile. Certainly. He
then looks up at Elan. You were saying something?
Eamon smiles.
Kasie looks at him, waiting. After a time she glances at Erik, "He's wagging
his tail. Think that means he doesn't mind?"
Erik nods. "He doesn't mind, no."
Kasie doesn't wait for Erik to stop talking before she drops to the floor. Her
bag is next to her and open an instant later. She pulls out the
yellow-covered, spiral-bound drawing pad and then reaches in again. This
time she brings out a small, hinged pencil box which she opens. She glances
at its contents, fingers hovering over it before she chooses a charcoal
pencil. She flips the pad open and pages through it to the first blank page
and settles it to her lap.
Elan nods at Erik's answer. "In a little while, Kasie, you'll pick up the Wolf
Tounge." He looks back at James. "Just wondered if you were ready for our
trip. I guess we leave tomorrow?"
Erik reaches up to rub at the back of his neck, reaching under the white cloth
mask. "The wolf tongue and the Garou tongue," he says quietly.
Light-of-Belief ponders. I think I'm ready. I'm a little intimidated...that
meeting last night. Nothing...bad is going to happen...will it?
Kasie's movements now become as slow as they had been fast just a moment
before. She nods a little as she hears her name, but it's pretty clear she
isn't listening to the question. The tip of the charcoal doesn't quite touch
the paper as her eyes move over the wolf. She starts moving her hand
fluidly, tip still not touching the paper.
Kasie takes a deep breath as the charcoal decends to make the first stroke.
One sweep, then another, she lays down lines without taking her eyes from
the wolf.
After a number of lines are in place she does finally look down. Though the
picture is still simple, it's clear it's a canine of some sort. Anyone at
thr right angle would alse see a few lines indicating what the wolf's head
is resting on.
Erik lingers nearby the young artist, arms wrapped across his chest, silent.
Elan skritches James some more. "No, I don't think so. But, I would not drop
my guard." He watches Kasie work, and tries to keep James still, so as not
to disturb her angle and light very much.
Light-of-Belief also works on keeping still. I don't want my friends getting
hurt...
Kasie's breath comes slow as she works. As she does this rouch sketching, her
eyes stay on the subjects for about 75 of the time. At last she looks down
at her work. A pause. She frowns and closes her eyes, then rubs the back of
the hand holding the charcoal pencil against her forehead. She takes another
breath and hunches over the picture. The ratio now switches and she spends
more time looking at the paper than at the pair. Details become clear, the
flow of the fur, the wrinkles of Elan's pant legs. After the one pause, her
hand doesn't slow again. She works on.
Kasie 's eyes move from subject to paper more frequently as her drawing
finally slows. She shifts her hold on the charcoal and uses her pinkie to
start smudging a few lines, shadows come into existance in her finger's
wake. She slows further, bending over the picture again to touch up a few
details. At last her hand slows...
Elan lazily runs his fingers through thw wolf's fur. "I don't think anything
will happen. But your loyalty is commendable."
...and stops. She sits up and looks at her work. Her face clouds over.
Eamon moves closer to get a better look at Kasie's drawing.
Kasie pages to Erik and Eamon: Despite Kasie's expression, the drawing is
good. The pair are done in simple lines, not every detail has been filled
in, but there's no question the two are Eamon and LOB. The shadows across
the boy and the wolf lend the picture a sense of reality, though she used
only black on white, there almost seems to be more color to the picture;
more life to it.
Kasie sits still, staring down at the picture. Her eyes close and her forehead
furrows as her mouth twists into a dissapointed frown. She makes to close
the book.
Light-of-Belief wuffles. This one wants to see it.
Elan chuckles. "She can't understand you, yet, man." He looks over to Kasie,
with a gentle smile. "Um, Kasie? James wants to see it. If you want?"
Kasie holds the cover half way closed, as if she needs the cover held up that
way to keep them from seeing it. She looks to the wolf, her eyes full of
saddness and apology, "It's not too good..."
Erik clears his throat. "It's quite good, Kasie."
Kasie ducks her head down. She shakes it in answer to Erik and doesn't look at
him.
Light-of-Belief wuffles louder and more energetically. I'm sure it's fine.
Please? He pads over to Kasie.
Kasie lifts her head a little as the wolf comes over. She looks at his face a
moment before tilting the pad towards him and looking away.
Erik mumbles something under his breath and leans down to rest a hand on
Kasie's shoulder. "It /is/ good, Kasie," he says quietly.
Elan sits up and tucks his legs under him, so he's crouching. "Could I see it?"
Kasie starts to draw away from the touch before she glances up at him. Her
eyes study the shadowed area where Erik's should be. She seems to be
searching them.
Light-of-Belief barks his liking it affirmitvly, as he sits on his haunches
looking at it, his tail patting the ground.
Kasie's eyes finally move from Erik's and back to the wolf. She notes his
wagging tail and asks quietly. "You... don't mind it?"
Light-of-Belief goes up to Kasie and slurps her face. It is very well done. I
like it.
Elan chuckles. "He likes it a lot, he says. It's very well done." He still has
not moved from his spot, aware that Kasie seems pretty nervous about her art.
maybe it's the wolf's lick, or maybe it was something she heard or saw in
Erik, but th girl slowly gets up, still holding the book open as she makes
her way to Elan. Holding it tightly, she crouches down and shows him.
Elan smiles. "It really is good, Kasie. Very good. You know, a lot of people
who do things this good are shy about them."
Erik absent-mindedly nods in affirmation of Elan's remark. His hands slip back
into his pockets.
Kasie takes a breath in, then gves a shrug-nod-head shake kind of motionas she
murmurs a 'thank you'. She stands back up and returns to where her bag is.
Big Red Barn(#3420RA)
The barn is built in the old style, a vast three level structure that is
greater in height than a mere three stories, actually closer to five. Great
wooden posts support the weight of the upper levels and roof, sunk into the
hard-packed dirt floor of the first level like a sparse forest of regularly
spaced, naked trees. The stalls and flagstones which once were here have
been torn out to leave a rather open area where even crinos Garou may roam
freely without fear of running into anything but the supports or the walls
or the ladder at the back which allows access to the other two levels.
The first two levels are relatively open to each other, the second being only
little wider than a catwalk going around all the walls but the front one,
which has massive, twenty foot tall doors set into it. The third level is a
true second floor except for a place cut out that allowed hay to be tossed
down to the ground floor when the farm was actually worked. Now, it is a
hayloft where Garou can sleep outside of the house.
Elan smiles and sits back down, seeming a bit tired. "Whew. Man, tough patrol
last night..."
Hank enters the ground level of the barn through one of the doors.
Hank has arrived.
Light-of-Belief pads back over to Elan and lays down beside him, putting his
head on Elan's lap again.
Hank comes in quietly, then shuts the door behind him.
Erik sits down as well, slowly, pulling his knees up to his chest. He remains
quiet, a mood of darkening meloncholy settling over him.
Kasie sits back down and takes a thin box cardboard box out of her bag. She
opens it and removes a sheet of plastic which she places over the drawing
before closing the pad. "Charcoal smudges," she explains quietly to anyone
close enough to hear. She then puts the book and box away before returning
the charcoal to the smaller box and adding that into her bag.
Hank glances around the barn, smiling when he finally sees Elan. He nods in
greeting.
Kasie slowly zips the bag shut, the noise seemingly loud in the quiet of the
barn.
Elan waves Hank over. He's sitting down, with Light-of-Beleif's head in his
lap. "Hey, Hank." He points to Kasie. "This is the cub I was telling you
about the other night, over the pack bond."
Hank steps over to Elan, smiling, and settles down next to him. He looks at
Kasie, and smiles to her as ewll. "Hello..."
Kasie lifts her pack and settles it onto her lap. She handles it carefully,
respectfully. She then wiggles a little closer, closing the few inches to
Erik. She stops only once her knee is within inches of touching him.
Kasie raises her face and looks towards Elan. Her eyes touch upon Hank only a
moment before she looks back to Elan. Slowly her gaze crosses the distance
back to Hank again. "Hi," she says quietly, "Kasie Brightspot, Fianna, cub,
and Galliard."
Erik lifts his head slightly, turning it a bit toward Kasie as she comes
close. He doesn't say anything, and his facial expression can't be seen, but
the black mood lightens a little bit.
Defends-Wolves raises his head and yawns, looking around from the pile of hay
he's been dozing on in the corner. He chuffs quietly in greeting to the
others, then pads over to Elan, sitting back on his haunches when he gets
there.
Kasie sits up straighter to watch the new wolf. A smile replaces her nervous
expression.
Hank nods to Kasie. "Hank Abrahms, called White-Eye. Cliath crescent of the
Bone Gnawers, member of pack Cavall, and child of Dog."
Light-of-Belief's eyes droop sleepily, and he yawns again. He closes his eyes
to snooze in Elan's lap.
Kasie cocks her head and looks back to Hank at the end of his introduction.
"Dog?" She asks quietly, glancing towards Erik then back to Hank.
Erik murmurs, "Hank can probably answer better than I."
Hank nods to Kasie. "Our pack totem...."
Elan hooks a thumb over in Hank's direction. "We're packmates. One of the
things a pack does, ince it is formed, is seek the favor of a totem spirit.
Sort of like the spirit that led us to you, but a lot tougher. Ours is a..
well, a part of the totem of Dog. It stands for loyalty, an' stickin' by
your pack."
Kasie ohs softly. "Yours isn't the same as th-ours? Does yours come to the
caern, too?" She glances to Erik, "You said three, Dog wasn't one of them..."
Erik shakes his head. "The caern totems are much stronger than pack totems.
Erm."
Light-of-Belief twitches again, dreaming.
Hank nods. "There's lot of different totems....the caern has three, but packs
have their own..."
"Oh," the cub says as she rubs her forehead with a hand. "Lots of spirits,
huh?"
Hank nods. "Tons."
You say "Countless numbers."
Light-of-Belief twitches again, letting out a light whine. He seems to be
getting larger, as the nightmare gets more intense.
Light-of-Belief contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Light-of-Belief shifts into Hispo form.
Defends-Wolves peers at the Fianna cub for a moment, then shifts up to homid
to reacquaint himself with her. "Met you a few nights ago." He glances at
the cub sleeping in Elan's lap.
Defends-Wolves contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Defends-Wolves shifts into Homid form.
Elan looks down at Light, with a litte worried look. He strokes the wolf, and
talks soothingly to him, as he gets really big. "It's OK, James... Come on,
come back..." He shakes the huge wolf, the head in his lap now the size of a
small pony's...
Light-of-Belief seems to incorporate Elan's shaking of him into the dream
instead of awakening.
Kasie blinks as the Light shifts, then looks back to Defends-Wolves with an
uhhh?, then an oh as he shifts. She looks at him then nods a little. "I
remember."
Hank blinks, glancing at Elan and Light. "Try saying his name loud?"
Kasie's attention is drawn back to the uneasy wolf. She watches him closely as
she moves her hands to the floor, plams down.
Elan bends close to James. "James?" He says, not a yell, but louder than
conversation.
Light-of-Belief's paws move, and he is snarling a bit at something in his
dream. He dosen't quite seem to hear Elan, though he heard something. The
nightmare's intensity increased again, and he began writhing, out of Elan's
lap, as he shifted up again.
Light-of-Belief contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Light-of-Belief shifts into Crinos form.
Hank grimaces as he sees Light shift up...and shifts as well, just in case.
Hank contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Hank shifts into Crinos form.
Elan scambles back. "Shit!" he says quietly. He looks around, and claps his
hands. "James!! Light!! Wake up, man!!" He yells this, now...
Erik pushes to his feet as the lost cub shifts, moving between the Crinos and
Kasie, a protective black ghost.
Kasie sounds a soft eep and places a light hand on Erik's arm. "Should we go?"
She quickly asks.
Kasie rises, too, as Erik moves. She stays behind him, but leans out to watch.
John frowns as James shifts up again, preparing to shift up himself should it
be necessary. He yells, "James, wake up!"
Erik shakes his head at Kasie's question and remains in protective stance near
her.
Light-of-Belief shakes his head, hearing the outside this time. Inside the
dream, he forces himself to see past it and awaken to the truth: it's only a
dream. He lets out a snarling bark as he wakes up.
Light-of-Belief sits up to his knees, looking around at everyone who seems to
have gone defensive. ~What happened?~
Elan stands up, a little pale. "It's OK, man... you were having a nightmare,
and haha, you shifted in my lap..."
Light-of-Belief groans, putting a hand to his forehead. ~Ohh...I'm sorry, I
didn't do anything, did I? I didn't claw anyone?~
Kasie steps out from behind Erik, though she still stays right by his side.
Elan shakes his head. "Naw, you didn't do anything except scare me..." He pats
his bare chest. "Almost gave me a heart attack, man..."
Light-of-Belief looks apologetic. ~It was awful...horrid black things
surrounded me and were suffocating me...they didn't let go..~
Hank contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Hank shifts into Homid form.
Hank shifts back down, now that the excitement seems over.
Elan smiles to James, and approaches slightly. "James, shift down some, OK?"
John watches James, relaxing a bit but still looking concerned.
Light-of-Belief, a little afraid that the horrid black things might be around,
seems reluctant to shift down.
Kasie leans closer to Erik and speaks quietly, "Can I try that form? Tomorrow,
maybe?"
Elan waves at him. "Come on, James. Nothing is gonna get you, here. It's a
nightmare. I know it seems real. I know just what that's like..."
Erik nods quietly to Kasie. "Yes... and I'll start teaching you the Garou
tongue, too."
Kasie smiles, then looks back to the crinos. She watches him.
Light-of-Belief frowns, glancing around nervously, and looking a bit short of
breath. ~They were bad things. They didn't let me go. Bad things. I couldn't
breathe.~
Hank looks at Light. "You're safe here....it was a dream. C'mon, shift back
down."
Elan shakes his head, and steels himself. He approaches the huge Crinos, and
lays a hand on James' side. "It's OK, now, really. Come on, be human again.
Ain't nothin' gonna get you."
Light-of-Belief snorts, a bit nervously, but also to help get rid of his
tension. After a few moments, he shifts down.
Light-of-Belief contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Light-of-Belief shifts into Homid form.
John pages to Hank, James, Erik, Kasie, and Elan: Night Erik.
James pages to Hank, Erik, John, Kasie, and Elan: G'night Erik.
Erik touches kasie lightly on the shoulder. "I have to go now," he says
quietly. "Take care, okay?"
Kasie ohs as she turns to face him. "You'll come back tomorrow?"
Erik nods. "And tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow... er. Sorry. Yes, of
course I will."
Kasie smiles, relieved. She looks back up to his face and nods. She lifts a
hand and waves. "Okay, then. Bye!"
Erik waves back, hesitantly, then ducks his head to the others as he slips out
of the barn.
