Center of the Caern
This area of the clearing is about 30 meters wide and is a mixture of dark soil
and clay throughout. The ground is mostly mud, but patches of grass,
halted by winter's cold, are beginning to peek through the ground and
take root. Near the center of the clearing, a small cairn has been built
with white stone and quartz--what was left of the beautiful boulder that
was once there. None of the stones is bigger than a softball.
Around you, twenty yards in every direction, stretches the caern. To the
southeast, a waterfall plummets over the edge of the chasm into a small
pool in the caern; nearby, to the southwest, steam comes from cracks in
the ground, perhaps some of the same water. Northwest, a rocky spar juts
out of the ground at a low angle, showing a sloping but smooth top. The
chasm walls narrow a bit to the northeast, causing some of the mist to
swirl in that area.
Three-Blades clips her howl short, and then simply begins to rise, her own aim
to be to move out of the caern. She's stopped though, by the scent and
sound of Leonard coming closer. The ragabash pauses mid-step, her paw
setting itself back down. Her greeting is rough around the edges.
Cutter shifts up to stand in front of the new Black Fury. "Welcome to the Sept.
I'm Cutter Thomson, Fostern Theurge of the Lords, and I'd like to help
you."
Joshua sits himself down crosslegged at the edge of the Caern, watching the
others mill about, leaving, talking, what ever. He seems content to sit
there with his thermos of Coffee.
Ashley raises her chin up proudly, leveling her gaze at the Shadow Lord for a
moment, before drawing her eyes away and off to the side, respecting his
rank. "Do you now? You wish to learn from me?"
Fights-For-Hope steps up to Cutter himself, seeming the popular one tonight.
Cutter says "I am happy to learn from anyone with something to teach. I hope
you fall into that category."
Leonard claps a hand on the Gnawer wolf's shoulder. "Walk with me, Speetlum."
He begins to head out of the caern, himself.
Defiant Storm blurs back to her breed form, taking more than a few moments to
calm herself down.
"I would not have spoken up if I did not have knowledge to pass down." Rumbles
Artemis in the back of her throat as she shifts her weight a bit, nodding
her head. "What is it that you wish to seek knowledge in?"
Atcen squats down on her heels with a sigh. She glances over, watching Leonard
depart with the Bone Gnawer, her brow furrowing, then shrugs and looks
around at the others.
Defends-Worth still stands at the tree, bundle under her arm again and looking
over everybody. She sighs a bit, deep in thought.
Three-Blades bristles under the touch, but puts aside the growl rising in her
mind and follows after the Wendigo.
"Boss," the young Russian murmurs toward Cutter. He also offers a nod toward
Ashley. "Hey," he says, amiably.
Cutter glances at the queue building behind him, then shrugs. "As a knife moon,
my proficiency tends toward the Umbral rites. Summoning, Naming, Binding,
and Cajoling."
Julie glances about, seeing that Yi is with another, heading off, and Craig
apparently gone, already, too. A quiet sigh, lips drawn thin and tight in
a line, she turns to head cityward.
Ashley levels her gaze at Konstantin, staring at him with a hardened gaze, arms
slowly crossing over her chest, before turning her attention to Cutter.
"I can bind spirits, summon them, and cleanse the taint which the dark
claws has touched. I can also bind items through way of dedication, and I
know a handful of more minor rituals that I keep sacred to myself." She
says, nodding her head.
Cutter eyes Konstantin as well. "Perhaps it would be wise of me to learn
Cleansing. In case it should be of need to me /again/."
Konstantin coughs.
Eyes narrow thinly and stare at Konstatin for a moment, before Artemis slowly
nods. "Every Garou should know that Ritual. It would help out in the long
run."
Fights-For-Hope gives a low rumble, something that could easily be taken for
laughter with the Get's gently shaking body at Cutter's words. ~Before
you run off hijacking teachers, Cutter... I hope to be finished with this
challenge sooner then later.~
Konstantin shoots a fabulous winning smile back at the Black Fury. He hangs
just off Cutter's shoulder a little bit behind him.
Cutter doesn't appear to hear Fights. Or not yet. "Please let me know when
you're available. If it would help, let me give you my number."
Artemis flexes her fingers slowly, releasing a series of loud cracking and pops
through her knuckles, staring at Konstan, before Cutter's words draw her
back. "I do not have a phone. I live at the Fury house currently, and I
can be found here on the Bawn. Currently I am teaching a number of Garou
the way of the bow, and Trevor to bind spirits. He is an adept learner
and should be finished soon in a few nights. I will teach you next."
Guards-Flame continues to watch the going ons, glancing about from time to
time, before deciding to lumber about the Caern.
Joshua stands back up, Salem having left. Carefully, the Glabro brow peers in
among the bodies, looking for the familiar Gaian Elder... spying her, he
slowly makes his way on over to her, ~Guards-The-Flame-Rhya~ He calls
after her softly.
Cutter says "Excellent. Then I will come looking for you. My thanks."
Shifting down to the homid form, Alicia turns around to regard the Glass
Walker, nodding to him.
Ashley nods her head towards him. "I thank you as well. It is good to know some
are eager to learn here. I was afraid I'd have to hunt down students."
Joshua bows his baldish head, not looking to the Elder directly. ~Days ago, you
offered to teach of a rite of contrition and apology... I was wondering,
perhaps, if Rhya was still willing to teach it. To... better things
between me and Scar-Rhya...~
Fights-For-Hope sits, silently now, his mood still agitated from the dealings
of the moot.
Atcen eventually gets up and wanders out of the caern, scrambling up and out of
the caern.
