Walker Safe House - Lobby

This small tenement building is a work that any interior decorator
would be proud of. The building is somehow filled with light and space,
despite the fact that the room is far from large. Mirrored surfaces and
lush green potted plants are much in evidence - jarring only slightly with
the video cameras that perch unobtrusively in various locations. A small
sign on the wall lists the number of apartments upstairs as eight, though
there are no names next to the apartment numbers. A very thick door leads
downstairs, with no visible method of being opened - except a keypad next
to it. A monitor is perched above the entrance, showing images from the
hidden camera that watches the outside of the building.

The lobby branches off into what appears to be a small recreation
room; for use only by residents and their guests.

Buzzing himself in the good Doctor of St. Claire walks into the lobby
carrying a couple of boxes. Nothing too large and cumbersome, but heavy.
Atleast the strain on his face shows that to be the case. Setting them
down he stretches out his back and grumbles something in french.

"Need some help?" Salem emerges from the rec room, coffee mug in hand,
eyeballing the boxes.

"Ah...." Alec racks his brain trying to come up with a name and falls
short. "Just to get them down to where I've got them stored would be great
thanks." Alec tries for a name and then shakes his head... "I did no get
your name the other night. I'm Alec." Hand offered.

Salem takes the proffered hand and shakes it firmly. "Salem. You're the
doctor from the... incident the other night, yes?" His demeanor is amiable
enough, even friendly in a reserved way.

"Oui... that's me." Alec shrugs that off. "Problem is now that it knows
who I am, so I'm forced to move my ass out. Cost me a job that damn thing
and more than a few patients." He doesn't seem bitter but there's still
venom in his voice, misdirected-impotent venom but venom nonetheless.
"Ah...." He mutters as his stretch finally release whatever it was that
was bugging him. "That's better. Drop from a ceiling and landing badly'll
make you a little stiff." A wry grin to that.

Salem utters a brief, wry-sounding chuckle and sets his mug down. "I can
imagine." He moves to pick up one of the boxes. "And you have my
sympathies, as well. Have you found another place to stay, yet?"

There's the familiar sound of beeps and clicks, then the front door of the
safehouse opens up, the young teen making his way inside slowly, hipping
the door shut. Shrugging the heavy load of backpack and laptop bags over
his thin shoulders, he almost stumbles beneath the weight, carrying at
least four heavy books in his grasp. How he retains balance is anyones
guess.

Alec shakes his head as he looks to the door to see the new arrival. The
young man gets an eyeballing before Alec returns the offer Salem gave a
few minutes ago. "Need a hand there ami?" Broad assumption, but a good one
considering where he is and the security the building has.

Salem arches a brow at the new arrival. "Morning, Jeremy."

Grunting a bit, the youngest of the room lets out a soft breath, glancing
to Alec. "Um.. No.. I'll be um.... fine." His voice soft, he sinks down to
his knees and deposits the stack on the floor, then slowly starts to slide
the straps off of his shoulders. "Just got back from school."

Alec, getting back to the earlier question shakes his head. "Alors, I've
got a few places to go I know. The Gnawers'll put me up if I need to, I've
also got the option of a cot at the Farmhouse. It'll depend though, I'd
prefer to stay in the city, but I've got to hide my trail. I'll need to
talk to John et al.," he waves a hand around the building here. "about
making me disappear on paper for a while."

Salem nods to Alec, frowning thoughtfully. "Yes... I may be able to call
in a favor or two for that. Are there any other kin working there?"

Jeremy stands up and starts to rub at his left shoulder, working out a
kink or two. Attention caught, he glances between them, peering from
behind thin rimmed glasses.

Alec thinks for a second... "Vicki used to work there but she does no
more. I do no think there are any new kin or friends working there now.
But I'll put the word out to those that know, to pull any of their assets
out of there. Those that aren't currently involved in the situation that
is." Alec nods and quirks a smile. "Thanks as well, Seiri's not exactly
skilled with the technology, nor me truth told."

Salem smiles crookedly. "We all have our own little... specialties." He
glances at Jeremy, noting the boy's apparant curiosity. "Hospital's
off-limits," he informs the young kin. "In case you were not already
aware."

"I know." Jeremy murmurs softly as he rubs the back of his neck. "And if
you need to disapear, at least paper wise, perhaps I can help." Nudging
his foot against the ground, he finally pops his shoulder back in place.

Hearing the pop Alec winces and looks at the kid with a touch of concern.
"You alright?" A head tilt and his eyes scan over the Walker Kin in that
doctor fashion that he has. "And that would be beneficial. My contacts
from up North lead to a dead end. It's really since my arrival her that
the paper trail begins. I've already drafted my leave of absence letter to
the hospital. I'll still have privilege there, so I can still go in and
out."

Salem regards Jeremy thoughtfully for a moment, then nods. Turning to
Alec, the Glass Walker indicates the boxes and asks, "Are you stowing
these in the basement, or...?"

Jeremy nods his head to Alec and rolls his shoudlers back. "Yah, just
double jointed." With that, he picks up his laptop bag and starts making
his way to the recroom.

"Oui," Alec nods. "They are my old medical textbooks etcetera. I do no
like to stay at home very long without some sort of muscle support backing
me up." His mouth works at that but what can you do. Turning to Jeremy he
nods, "Bien, just make sure you don't let your shoulder become to
hyper-mobile."

"Ah," says Salem, dryly, eyeballing the boxes. "Books." Thus forewarned,
the Philodox lifts one with a grunt and carries it downstairs.
